International seminar: Community strategies against hunger in pandemics – Experiences from Peru, Chile and Uruguay

Grupo de Análisis para el Desarrollo (GRADE) and the Latin American Centre for Rural Development (RIMISP), with the support of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), are holding the International seminar: Community strategies against hunger in pandemics – Experiences from Peru, Chile and Uruguay.

The virtual seminar aims support participants advance the formulation of proposals and recommendations on the functioning of community-managed kitchens, soup kitchens and other community responses to hunger in Peru, Chile and Uruguay. In addition, the seminar will highlight problems regarding the current food and health situation and participants will jointly analyse these issues. This is to help visualise future projections with a view to developing regional public policy proposals.

The seminar will be held in Spanish, at 9 am in Peru, and 11 am in Chile and Uruguay.
