PEP webinar series: Lessons on Covid-19 crisis policy responses

Partnership for Economic Policy (PEP) is hosting a series of online roundtable discussions on ‘Lessons for more effective and inclusive policy responses to the Covid-19 crisis in the Global South’ from November 2021 to April 2022.

Local researchers and national government officers will share and discuss findings from their projects on the effectiveness of early or potential public policy responses to mitigate the impacts of the Covid-19 crisis, particularly for the most vulnerable populations in the Global South. PEP supported these projects under CORE and the Rapid Response initiative.

The discussions in the series are:

  • 16 November 2021: The importance of targeting beneficiaries in Covid-19 crisis policy responses. Access the webinar recording.
  • 18 February 2022: The risks and potential of Covid-19 crisis policy responses for inclusiveness and gender equality. Register to attend.
  • 29 March 2022: The fiscal policy implications of Covid-19 crisis-relief and recovery strategies. Register to attend.
  • April 2022 (date TBC): Impact of the Covid-19 crisis in Africa – What do we learn from surveying population groups: focus on youth, MSMEs and farmers
