Sharing experience and learning on approaches to influence policy and practice

The research being conducted within CORE aims to provide timely evidence on which to base decisions around policy and practice for the groups most affected by COVID-19. With the rapidly changing policy environment throughout the pandemic, many projects are having to constantly adapt their strategies to engaging with decision makers.

On 23 June, IDS and Southern Voice co-hosted an online event on sharing experiences and learning on approaches to influence policy and practice. This was the first in a series of mutual learning events, which aim to enhance the efforts to inform and influence policy withing the CORE cohort of projects, by sharing learning between projects from their approaches and experiences at country and regional levels.

This event featured three projects which have all been approaching these challenges in different ways and highlighted the actions that have been successful in engaging with policy audiences.

The ‘Mutual Learning for Policy Impact: Insights from CORE’ learning guide has captured the practical insights and advice from the event.
