A new issue of the IDS Bulletin, Knowledge in Times of Crisis: Transforming research to policy approaches, provides unique insights from a diverse group of Southern research organisations belonging to the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) supported, Covid-19 Responses for Equity programme (CORE).
At this webinar we will be joined by the issue’s editors and a number of its contributing authors from Africa, Latin America, South Asia, and MENA. We will explore how Southern research institutes’ readiness for the crisis depended on local credibility, the strength of their networks, access to key decision makers, or affected communities, and flexible funding arrangement. We will ask what lessons can be learnt about Southern research leadership in emergencies and the implications for research funding, equitable partnerships and crisis preparedness and response.
This webinar will have simultaneous translation in Spanish, French and English.
